HALLOWEEN 2009

Knepleys joined us for Halloween and fall fun this year! The kids loved being together. We spent Saturday morning enjoying the beauty of fall at Percy Warner park, followed by a great day of college football, baking and playing. We made sugar cookies and "eyeballs" on a fork for our Halloween party that night. Darin was in charge of face painting - transforming beautiful children into scary/funny looking characters for trick-or-treating.

Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of Halloween. Well, I'm not a fan of getting ready for Halloween, but I have to say, I really love the fun of costumes, creepy stuff, trick or treating, sorting candy, and all the other fantastic fun. We went to Newsome's for some food and friendship Saturday night. She went all out, with mad scientest decorations, cabbages brains in green water in glass jars, gooey eyeballs, and all manner of Halloween "horror".

Here are just a few pictures from the fun.

Nathan - I see a black and gold future.

Shannon, Me, Darin & Brandi (well, she's behind the camera.)

Mitch & his decorated caramel apple. That was so fun for the kids. They got to pick 3 gummy items out of a bucket without looking - eyes, mouths, brains. They turned out so cool.

Evan didn't trick or treat, just dressed up as an army guy - looked awesome - and scored some candy anyway.

Erin & Allie aka Zebra & Elf.

Vampire & Pirate. I love this age at Halloween!
Nathan & Ty were Purdue/Ohio State fans, keeping in the spirit of College football day.

Goodbye to the facepaint, spiders, witches and ghosts until next year!

I hope the kids had as much fun as you did!
